Kevin started installing the new hardwood floors today. My brother-in-law, Ben, came over to help for several hours. It was a learning experience, but they got it down pretty well. The kids really enjoyed helping out!
Funny story:
My sisters stopped by to drop something off in the evening. Samantha was quite the hostess and was telling them to take off their coats and their shoes, etc. Then, she pointed to a coffee cup on the window sill in the front hall and said to Abby, "That's Uncle Ben's coffee. He needs to come back and drink it! I like coffee. When daddy isn't looking, I just drink it and drink it and drink it." We're all a little surprised. Apparently she'd been drinking Ben's left over coffee (he was no longer there). Then, she pointed to Kevin and said, "You didn't see me, Daddy!"
Later on, she had crawled through the maze of equipment the boys had set up and over to the sill. Then, still behind the Shop Vac hose, she exclaims, "Hey, where'd the coffee go? I need to drink it!" We didn't notice her until she said that. No wonder she'd gotten away with sneaking sips ...
Ah, my java-loving princess. She really is too cute!
