Day 74/365

Thursday, March 12th:
New England Women's Convention, here I come!!!

This was the 20th convention! My mom has gone to every single one, but I've only gone to 12 or 13 ... I can't remember exactly. They are hosted by Verna DelTurco and Louise Roberts. Jonathon and Verna DelTurco are my parent's pastors. Everybody needs a mentor. They are awesome people and have a church in the Boston area. Everything they do is blessed and this is no exception!

Kevin left work early (for me) and I picked up Beth and we drove down to the Mystic Marriott. It was a wonderful time with my sister. We don't get to really talk that often and this was nice.

It's so hard to describe the blessing that these meetings are. They are so full of the power of God. The worship is great and you can just praise God with hundreds of other women without worry about whether or not you sound good or what you look like. The teaching is powerful and annointed and the fellowship with your friends is awesome. I am always blessed.

Side note: this is the night that the UConn men's basketball team lost to Michigan State in the Final Four. We were able to catch the last few minutes after the meeting and then watch as they went in to overtime ... and double overtime ... and triple overtime ... and quadruple overtime ... it ended in the fifth overtime, but they lost. I stayed up until almost 2 am. I was really tired the next morning. I wish it was worth it ... but they lost!
